The Mighty 79 Mk II

Building on the success of the Mighty 79, the Mighty 79 Mark II strives to build a new, even better vehicle leveraging Australias best 4WD companies and new developments across the industry. At Trig Point we were delighted to get the call up from Michael to be involved with this epic build.

The Vehicle

When it came time to upgrade the Mighty 79, Michael carefully considered all the amazing vehicles currently on the market from wagons to utes and determined the equipment organization the business requires meant a ute was the best solution. Building a new 79 series landcruiser even better than the last felt like the best choice for Michael and the team.

THE CANOPY

The Mighty 79 Mark II has been fitted with our Horizon 1800mm Tray Mounted Canopy. Accessibility to camera equipment and catering for the crew remain key to Offroad Images work and therefore functionality is at the forefront of the Mighty 79’s canopy set up.

The canopy is currently fitted with:

70 L water tank and creek draw kit
Tyre Carrier and Ladder on rear wall

We have to be organized in a photo shoot, it just helps with efficiencies. I think for a tradesman it’ll be the same deal, they need everything to be in the right spot and the same for someone that is touring… it makes life so much easier.
